Covenant Woman Ministries

Covenant Woman Ministries began in 1999 when God spoke to the visionary and CEO of the organization, Jan Matthews. Several women followed her out the door asking questions pertaining to believing God for their husbands, children and household. Jan recalls thinking, These women have no one to teach them. The Lord spoke to her heart saying, I want you to start a women's ministry.

Then the DESIRE and a step of FAITH

"I had been mentored by my husband's mom for 20 years. She taught me faith and was an awesome example as she walked with me through the hard places. So many women don't have a Christian woman in their lives who will guide them in the Word and mentor them through life situations. The mature woman's ministry has been way too neglected in the churches. My husband and I prayed, I contacted several friends, and one month later Covenant Woman held the first meeting."

And the Vision

Jan knew that God must have the perfect logo in mind for such a ministry. It had to be special! In May of 1999 as she and husband Andy Matthews prayed for two hours in the Spirit, God suddenly gave Jan an open vision of a Bible laid through a diamond ring. The beautiful logo is displayed on all CW products and publications.

Finally, the Confirming WITNESS

God has continued to confirm the witness over and over through dreams, visions and prophecy. In July of '99 three women were awakened in the night as they had the same dream and heard a loud "shot." A prophecy came forth at the next meeting that, "Covenant Woman Ministries will be a shot heard around the world."

PUBLICATIONS - Every Christian woman has a testimony or a nugget to share that will bless someone else. The average individual is not going to publish a book. Part of the CW vision is that "Moms in tennis shoes can carry the gospel to the ends of the earth too!" All CW publications are submitted by women just like you who have a story to tell. Covenant Woman is currently on radio stations in two states (Kansas City, KS/MO, and Augusta, GA) and about to expand that area in the near future.

TABLETOP MINISTRIES
TABLETOPS - From the convention to the tabletop; that's where the victory lies. The tabletop chapters are designed for small group weekly Bible studies and one-on-one mentoring to teach women to love their husbands, love their children and be strong in faith! The tabletops plug into the local chapters for monthly meetings.

PRISON OUTREACH CHAPTERS - Ministry teams sharing with inmates. Jesus shared his heart concerning those in prison. Covenant Woman Ministries is an organization that women incarcerated can become a part of too with their very own CW Bible studies. The women are so excited about our Bible studies! They said, "This is just what we needed!" It's more than just another church service!

THE WHISPER BOOK - Shhh, it's a secret! You have to come to a meeting. And the vision doesn't stop there. The Covenant Woman future plans include a curriculum specially designed with teenage Covenant women in mind - COVENANT MAIDENS! Totally awesome!

Their latest teeshirt pretty well sums it all up with a cartoon picture of a woman and her children beating up on the devil, and it reads, "COVENANT WOMAN, KEEP YOUR FOOT ON THE DEVIL'S NECK!" Genesis 3:15. That's what they're talking about!
